Not sure if I am in the right spot here. Trying to review the bourbon barrel aged imperial porter, but I think this is it.
I didnt take tasting notes, besides the overall score, but I will say this was my favorite beer of my entire Asheville vacation. Barrel notes and base beer characters played wonderfully together. Really fantastic beer.

Smells of bruised cherries, raisins, and cocoa. Flavor chocolate dominant, a touch thin in malt backbone, with a lightly bitter and roasty finish. Underpinnings of raisins, dates, and plums add complexity. Vanilla and bourbon surface late, and become dominant. It's a bit hot.
