At only 6.3%, I will admit I wish this was a little heftier and had more body but it's loaded with chocolate and it's pretty damn tasty...

It's not really sweet but the cocoa is abundant and there might be a little touch of vanilla here and there... not much coffee but I'm good with that and I'm also glad the vanilla doesn't supersede the cocoa flavors as I'm not a big fan of vanilla in beer...

I'm pairing it with a Perdomo 20th Anniversary and it really shines with the fermented tobacco..

I would recommend giving this a try if you like chocolate and you aren't looking for a huge buzz...its a quality beverage..

I think my bottle was infected. The bottle gushed when opened. It's definitely over carbonated and has a definite funky smell and taste.

A: Pours an opaque but still clear jet black in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation and moderate dark cola brown highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a very thick (almost finger thick) layer covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of roasted coffee, cocoa nibs, chocolate, and an earthiness.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of roasted malts with light to moderate amounts of sweetness that fade quickly. That is followed by moderate flavors of cocoa nibs and milk chocolate. Light notes of earthiness in the finish. Light amounts of roasty bitterness in the finish which lingers for quite a while.

M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: A really nice beer for folks that really like dark chocolate - not sweet. Really nice roasty flavors and a great aroma. Excellent.

Thinner than expected. Infused with Nicaraguan nibs, chocolate all the way through until the end when you get some faint coffee and vanilla. It's good, but could be better!

Poured from a bomber into a mug, the beer is a thin, very dark brown coloring that is almost black in the depths, with mahogany edges, and a foamy, clingy, low profile, light tan colored head. Aromas of roasted dark coffee, bitter cacao nibs, and earthy tones. Flavors are very bitter and heavily roasted forward, with a solid punch of roasted coffee and extremely dark chocolate. Very dark and heavily bitter notes kept light by the lighter, smooth body. The aftertaste is more of the lingering chocolate bitterness, leading right into the smooth finish with a linger of the cacao nibs. This one is for the hardcore dark chocolate fans out there, that's for sure. Good beer.

First off the bottle art is hilarious. Second this is a pretty good stout. Chocolate, coffee, slight dark fruit, more chocolate, and earthy malts fill the nose. Taste is roasted up front, coffee and malts alike, but then the tsunami of chocolate and some lingering candied dark fruits come in. Feel is the issue though, medium bodied and slightly cloying from the sweetness, needs more umph behind it all

Pours a deep deep chocolate brown with a creamy beige head atop.Chocolate with a bit slightly tart fruitiness over top of dark roast coffee in the nose.A smooth creamy feel if a bit light.Mocha coffee flavors with an adition of milk chocolate flavors,a French pressed coffee flavor underneath throughout.I'ts close to being great but the mouthfeel keeps it from reaching that.
