Ugly and pink really pink thick pink. Topped with a huge head Pepto-Bismol whitish pink head.

Smells tart.

Tastes tart but not overwhelming with a clean fresh raspberry note.

Light frothy body with light carbonation.

Got in Asheville drinking in Redding Sept 21st 2020.

The color is deep ruddy and pink with hazed look with thick head with very fine bead fast rising bubbles as the head recedes
the smell is a strong raspberry scent with both sweet fruit and sour odors and a gentle sulfur element
the feel is light and mildly tart with subtle sweetness with very high carbonation and dry finish
the taste has a very fresh berry flavor with slight sour taste yet balanced with a hint of sour aspect mid palate with a gentle malt in the flavor with a dry taste yet berry and yeast acidity leaves a lingering sour flavor on the palate with lactic tanginess that makes me smack my lips. The reapberry in the lactic berliner base is very well balanced with the berry taste not overwhelming the overall berliner taste.
This is a delicious fruit berliner it has the drinkability and quenching qualities of the style with fresh fruit taste and complimentary raspberry sour element

 

 

 

 

Pours an opaque medium red with pinkish hues, a poorly retained one inch head that settles to a ring and leaves some spotty lacing. Smells of raspberries and wheat. Tastes of sweet raspberries with just a bit of tartness, blackberries, cranberries and wheat. Light to medium bodied, well carbonated, light tartness (expected much more based on the name), mildly dry finish.

 

 

 

 

Berry Berliner Weisse. Poured from a can into a Rhinegeist tulip. The pour is clear and dark red with an impressive three fingers of rocky pink foam that quickly dissipates. Very fruity nose. I get strong notes of raspberry with some grape and cherry as well.

Medium-light body with a mildly tart, fruity flavor and a firm feel. Good strong level of carbonation really opens up the palate. There is a crisp tart wheaty flavor and a quick hit of raspberry up front, then the acidity powers up while the fruit steps back. Apple skins, lemon juice, and a nice champagne-like stoney dryness. Too bad the fruit doesn't carry all the way across the palate like it does on my beloved Urban Artifact MIdwest Fruit Tarts (God, how I love those beers). Still, an excellent sour beer. Definitely worth trying if you come across it.

 

 

 

Tart bold raspberry flavor, definitely not for beginners.....dark pink maybe a little purple coloring. Smells like funk/ripe fruit, fantastic Berliner !

Pours a medium pink color with a large light pink head on top. Has a heavy smell of raspberries with a hint of wheat. Can taste lots of fruits, a little dry but very tasteful.
