another great hoppy beer from green man, this is obviously what these guys do best. i love this one, with some oats in the mash and a little haze from them, a lot of amarillo but i dont suspect thats all on the hop side, and a nice sturdy abv, unexpectedly drinkable though. its got some lactose in it from what i understand too, which usually i dont love in hoppy beer, but in this one i think its awesome. it lends a fine creaminess to the oaty body, and always seems to work so well with amarillo hops, tangerine and melon and kiwi fruit all over it, sort of candied and concentrated down, but not at all sweet. east coast looking but some west coasty oils swirling around and even a pop of bitterness from the hops at the end. some other hops in here too i think, not just amarillo, although i am not sure what, maybe mosaic, its fruity like that, but also has a noble element. i want to not analyse it and just drink it because its so fresh and good. i like the bigger feel and the freshness of the hops over it, not too much lactose this isnt sweet at all, and a puffy bubbly feel. great ipa, drinks way too easy for its strength. one of my favorites from my recent visit to the brewery!
