Pours with an essentially black body that is topped by a creamy, durable beige colored head.
This "breakfast stout" smells, and to some extent tastes, like a pastry. There's no more coffee flavor here than in a typical stout. There does seem to be additions of cinnamon and, perhaps, almond extract. A touch too sweet but should serve as a fine dessert beer.
