Another fail from BA not having this listed by any of its members.
16 oz can, best by 8/18/21, into Bearded Iris Willie Cakes. Just threw Pretty Hate Machine on. 1988 here we come.
Juicy blonde, even deeper than Kid A, with a stable finger of head.
Aroma of fresh pine, mango, strawberries, kiwi, and grapefruit. Pretty edgy. Pretty fresh. These guys know how to can.
Flavor is pine, grass, grapefruit, orange, mango, hints of vanilla, and tiny berries.
Feel is juicy and acidic, hard but pleasantly so, with heavy carbonation, very mild alcohol heat, with some resins on the finish (Kid Haze didn't have this).
Overall, these guys have this IPA making down to a science. They're definitely one of the best brewers of the style I've had. Maybe on par with Bearded Iris and if you know your beer, you know that's a tall order (there is no disagreement allowed here, you will be wrong). Fantastic NC brewery. Can't wait to go see them. Would definitely buy again if they ever brewed it. A notch below Kid Haze.
