A variation of our Barrel-aged Imperial Stout which rested for 12 months in freshly dumped maple syrup barrels. We then added Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla, Milk Sugar, two types of Cinnamon, freshly grated nutmeg and all natural bacon extract. This created a decadent and sweet brunch beer, loaded with notes of maple syrup, cinnamon toast, vanilla custard and a touch of salty bacon.

Picked up as part of a mixed four-pack from the Appalachian Vintner in Asheville 7-8-22 for $27. 2021 Holiday edition consumed 10-12-22.
Beer poured black with an okay tan head.
Nose is a nice mix of lightly roasted malts, maple syrup, and a touch of bourbon.
Taste is a large malt base that immediately is taken over by the maple and vanilla sweetness. Get a hint of nutmeg and the bourbon barrel is for balancing only as i am not getting an overt flavor from this. Finishes a touch sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and fairly smooth.
Overall a fun beer to try!
