This is money. Not usually a porter fan, but this one is a winner. For once, a brewery captured the bitter-sweetness of the cacao nibs, and not just the sweetness. The porter is a perfect stage to let these babies shine, and the cask hand pump helps pull all the flavors together into a smooth cohesive light but super heavy in taste beer.

Cask at Green Man Brewing, Asheville, NC
A: The beer is essentially jet black in color - traces of amber are visible near the edge of the glass when it is held up to a light. It poured with a finger high frothy tan head that died down a bit but consistently left a thin head covering the surface.
S: Sweet aromas of cocoa nibs are present in the nose.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of cocoa nibs almost to the degree that it somewhat resembles fudge.
M: It feels a bit shy of medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has so much cocoa nibs that it almost tastes a bit like liquid fudge but thankfully it is a porter and it's not a stout so it's not impossible to drink.
