Had on tap at Potent Potables last night,I guess Green Man is doing a one off series of English-style ales from 1850-1915 and this is the first of the set.Poured into a standard pint glass a deep chesnut brown with a tinge of rube,a thin off white head atop.Notes of brown sugar and mild nuttiness in the nose, somewhat sweet.Flavors are dryer with a firm nuttiness that is the best part of the beer, light brown sugar with a little butteriness in the finish. At 6% ABV. it's a bit of an amped up mild but it's nice,I had a few of them with friends.
