A super charred and ashy with mild vanilla sweetness and coffee and plum on the finish. the alcohol is well hidden for such a high ABV.well worth a try.

Jet black, good head with a somewhat hard pour. Have been sitting on this for ~6 months for the heat to settle down.
Hints of cocoa, coffee on the nose, but dominated by dark roast malt. Palate the same, but with a nice astringency to the heavy roast to balance the sweetness. A bit smokey and charred on the finish - right up to the edge of burnt, but still good.
Lighter body and more carb than I would expect of an 11% brew, but a bit of time in the glass and a swirl is settling out the excess nicely. Alcohol hidden very well. Silky smooth, I could believe it was only 7 or 8%.
Overall a very good imperial stout - up there with some of the more charred and lighter bodied Impys from the states - puts me in mind of the latest release of Dark Horse plead the 5th actually.

Looks exceptional with ridiculous lacing. Nothing outstanding on the nose but VERY heavy on the roasted malt on the palate. Pretty standard feel, lighter side of full and not cloying at all.
Very solid first stout from Bridge Road.
