Meet Eggster. It’s an Easter egg in beer clothing.
A big, rich triple chocolate ale. Smooth, lush and with the uncanny ability to make every mouthful feel like a holiday.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Happy Easter 2022! I imagine this beer will be had by more than a few this long weekend. If you have not had one yet, or just see one in the shops, have a read.
Eggster Triple Chocolate Ale @bridgeroadbrewers
Dark Ale

The can itself looks like a chocolate egg all wrapped up. Popping open the can, it certainly smells like it as well. Strong notes of sweet milk chocolate and malts. The brew itself is impressively dark and pours thin compared to the liquid chocolate it smells of. It has a lovely tan head, after it burns away it is just a calm black sea.
To my surprise, the sweet milk chocolate I had in the aroma has been replaced with dark chocolate in the taste. The taste is bitter with a bit of vanilla to balance it out. Very smooth and rich and you can feel the weight of it in your mouth. The aftertaste reminds you of the flavours while it slowly fades away.
A great holiday beer that I would recommend to anyone who wants to bring in Easter with an adults only egg.
