Came back for round 2 on this one, thought perhaps the pour was wrong, not so, there is no bitterness from the hops in this one because it double fermented and double decocted (not sure what that means besides homework for me!)
This tastes like a sweeter version of hopslam, with little or no carbonation, wich i love almost reminds me of a mead, has a medium strong apple presence as well, for style this one doesnt quite hot the mark but still a pretty good beer! Also the 10.5%, masked VERY well!! Id guess it at 7%

As it says on their website, "It’s a double decocted, double fermented, double the amount of hops that went into making it for a dry hop, aged on medium toasted oak chips, Imperial IPA. 176 ibu’s and at 10.5% ABV"
Outstanding DIPA. Reminded me of Dreadnaught from Three Floyd's. So much going on in the flavors with this one. Hope it's on tap the next time I stop in.

Poured from growler that was about 3 weeks old. Very syrupy, almost Barleywine like. Heavy caramel taste. Not bad, missing the hops due to waiting too long.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
