Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewpub in August 2009.
Pours a moderate brown color with a single-finger off white head. Good retention and a bit of lacing. The nose is slightly-roasted malt, nuts, a bit of sweetness, and some caramel. The taste is along the same lines with a nice, mild sweetness and a bit of caramel and toffee. Nice feel on a medium body. A nice brew that drinks quite well.

A well brewed Am.version of the English Brown Ale style pours a clear brown with a 2 finger head that persists. Nice nutty flavor well balanced hops a very drinkable rich tasting brew. I prefer their stout over this style but am relatively inexperienced with Am. brown ales.
