Originally reviewed February 20, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. I started off with a sampler of this, then had a pint after dinner and was more dissapointed with this afterwards. Cloudy hazel tan pour. Nice white head with good lacing. Fruit raspberry aroma, with a light pleasent musky red onion waft in the background. Flavors strongly of great fresh raspberry (this gets old). Taste starts sweet and strong, but finishes choclately dry. Pleasent, but is too watery and loses appeal. Smacks of thin apple wafts. Leaves a nice hint of strawberry on the tounge.

Cloudy peach color...big sweet raspberry aroma...more subtle on the taste...not oversweet...nice medium bodied...firm...not my thing but for a flavored wheat beer this is a solid-to-top notch effort...the nose is really big on the raspberry smell and while I scored it high for its intensity, it does throw a minor scare into you before you drink it...I was worried it would be a big kool-aid flavor but it was much more subtle...the ladies will like this one
