From the Brewery-"A once a year ale celebrating our 11th anniversary....800 pounds of Door County Cherries married with a nice amber ale...rare and special".
I see a few rated the 10th anniversary cherry but it has been retired so I will start a new one for the 11th anniversary..
Looks like tomatoe juice when you pour it into the glass...nose is a slight let down...acidic with only a slight cherry impression.
Fortunately the taste is much better...I'm not a brewer but I imagine using a shitload of cherries and turning out a drnkable beer is a challenge...the amber ale blends with the cherries nicely..There also seems to be a nice "spice" element to it that blends nicely...It took me awhile to get it but I'm pretty sure it is a strong cinnamon/brown sugar taste...cherries offer more of a sweeter flavor than a tartness but it's not like drinking pie filling...it's about right..
Low carbonation...lighter side of medium bodied...
Decent effort and a nice change-up for the fall..

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
