Being a resident of Bloomington, I do drink my fair share of Upland, and I normally love most of their stuff (especially the Dragonfly IPA), but I would stay far away from this saison.
The appearance was actually pretty appealing. Rusty golden color with a bright white head. The smell was primarily spices and hops. The taste is where the beer is completely off. Tons of peppery spice, but not in a good way. Way over spiced, and the spice seems artificially flavored. This seems nothing like a saison.
I really encourage people to try Upland's brews, but they missed the mark with this one.

This farmhouse saison was excellent. It had an excellent golden color, along with a wonderful sweet/malty scent. It had a wonderful taste: crisp, clean, and smooth. It had wonderful citrus and coriander flavors, as well as a nice bit of honey and a slight peppery taste. Normally I don't like honey beers, but this one was nice. It was also a nice touch that the honey is Indiana grown. Excellent aftertaste as well, very pleasing.
