The closest one can get to sampling a British real ale in the Middle West. This bitter is served from beer engines at cellar temperature. An amber body topped with an appropriate limited head that lingers. The aroma of the British hops is fresh and strong but not overwhelming like an American dry-hopped ale. The taste is light malty sweetness with fruit and slight caramel notes in the background. The body and mouthfeel is perfect for a bitter. This ale is simple, smooth, and a great example of what a session beer is suposed to be.

On tap at the Autumn Brew Review 2002, Minneapolis, MN...
I was going to stop reviewing beers at the Autumn Brew review but this beer was just too good... Slighly cloudy amber color, head is medium in generation and mostly gone in 40 seconds. Subtle malts, slight sense of a touch of fruitiness, but long standing in impact. Non-fading mouthfeel and maltiness with an excellent clovey/flowery hop finish. Extremely well-balanced, this beer gives to the end. Maybe a touch heavy for a Bitter, but a delicious and drinkable beer.
