This beer is styled as an English IPA, but might be closer to a pale ale. It was served at American chilled serving termperatures rather than cellar temps appropriate for a Real Ale which was disappointing. An amber body with a wispy head, the aroma is spicy and fresh with wonderful English hops notes. The taste is tipped in favor of the hops, but compliments the malt background very well. A very enjoyable, if not truly representative example of an English IPA.
