12 oz tulip pour for $7.50 at THL.
A-a murky golden with a tight sticky brilliant white head.
S-Big on the orange peel. Spice notes of black pepper and coriander. Light on apricot and freshly cut oak.
T-much more Chardonnay character in the taste. It actually is quite strong with the barrel notes hitting me up front and the saison takes over in the finish.
M-vinous and very dry. Plenty of tannins and bubbly. Not boozy at all.
O-a tasty Chardonnay rich Belgian saison/wit. I approve.

Town Hall Cuvee of Consequence. Belgian style Strong Saison aged in California Chardonnay barrels, then finished with a touch of bitter orange peel.
9% ABV.

Clear, bright golden color, small white head, slims down and disappears.

It's got the funk in the nose, plenty of the white wine barrel, a little sweet and fruity, highly likable.

In the mouth, it's a nicely carbonated thing, brisk and lively, with the sweet, fruity wine barrel character holding court over it all. Sourness takes over the palate. Right in the middle, not too much, not too little, just right. Sweet, sour, funky, fresh. I love it.

Not sure what the consequences are, exactly, but it matters very little. This is my kind of cuvee'.

Golden orange color with white head.

Tons of wine flavors here. Grapes and tannins. Herbal and fruity. Orange zest. Belgian yeast and spices. A little green apple tartness.

Medium bodied. Nice carbonation.

Well done! Surprised by this one!

On tap at the brewpub. 13 oz. serving in a tulip.

Appearance: Color is a hazy golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a small finger of white head with decent retention.

Smell: A fruity and spicy Belgian farmhouse aroma with a scent of fruit esters and white wine. Belgian yeast with some clove, pepper, coriander, and farmhouse funk. Solid white wine presence with hints of white grapes, oak, and wood. Fruit hints of orange peel, banana, lemon zest, pear, and green apple. Malt hints of straw and cracker. A very good aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a fruity and spicy Belgian Saison taste with notes of zesty fruit and white wine. Belgian yeast with spice notes of clove, pepper, coriander, and funk. White wine barrel notes of grapes, oak, and wood. Fruit notes of orange peel, lemon zest, pear, banana, and green apple. Soft bready malt notes of wheat, straw, and cracker. A really nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Crisp, juicy, and very smooth with a drying finish.

Overall: A very good barrel aged Saison. Nice blend of wine barrel, spice, and fruit esters.
