Served on-draught into a 10 oz slender pilsner glass at the brewery. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a half finger beige colour head of nice cream and thickness and fair (~30 second) retention. Colour is a clear pale yellow.
Sm: Honey, sweet pale malts, bright luscious fruit, spicing, raspberry, and artificial cherry. A mild strength aroma.
T: Honey and bright raspberry/cherry over a pale malt foundation. No yeast or alcohol is detectable. Quite sweet, a bit too much so. Balanced but simple. Not real subtle.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Crisp and clean. Good thickness. A bit overcarbonated.
Dr: Drinkable and luscious. Certainly strives for something special, but doesn't quite reach it. Hides its ABV well. Meh.

Had this on-tap last night. According to the description, "Eye of the storm is an American style honey ale brewed with a total of 259 pounds of locally produced honey. Extended maturation for 5 months."
A- Light gold in color. Decent lacing retention around the edges. Thin foam ring around the edges. Bubbles up the middle of the glass.
S - Smells like a Pilsner with honey. Bits of hay and smells of floral. OK...could be worse.
T - Honey. Sweet and bits of caramel. Sugar and earth. A bit boozy. Honey.
M - Great carbonation and mouthfeel. Tingly. Light and pretty easy to drink.
D - Nice and easy to drink. Easy for an 8.4% brew. I like the honey but not the way its mixed with this certain style of ale. Interesting though.

Draft. On tap at Town Hall Tap. 12oz pour. Pours a light honey colored with a nice white 1 finger head. Very clear. Very clean aroma with only hints of light roast grain and sweetness from the honey. The taste is pretty sweet by not overly so with a nice balance of honey flavor and almost a very clean white grape almost like an ice wine. Medium/light mouhfeel. Nice lace on the glass. Overall, pretty sweet but not too sweet and the alcohol is pretty subtle.

Pours a layer of white head. Leaves a little bit of lacing. Color is a clear yellow. Hardly and color to it.
Aroma: Not a lot here. It has honey, wheat, grass. Just not a lot for how high the abv is.
Taste: Really sweet. The honey shows a lot more. There is some lemon zest and grassy hops. Some spice, coriander, cloves, and fruity esters. Yeast as well.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and creamy. Medium bodied. For how light it looks it has some body to it. Medium amount of carbonation. Ends a little dry and sweet like lemon drops.
Overall, for what it is it is ok. The abv is hidden really well. I had no clue that it was over 10% abv. Somewhat drinkable in that aspect. Definitely worth a try.

T- Nice sweet malt up front with just a a touch of hops at the end a very nice flavor overall.

Hazed dark golden body. Soft, billowy white head. It has great staying power and laces substantially. The aroma is sweet and honeyish. Melons come to mind as well. (I like it when melons are on my mind.) A little caramel and a little tangerine too. This is a sweet beer overall. Quite sweet but not cloyingly sweet. Honeyed malts. Spicy alcohol accents, although for the octane level of this beer (11+?), the alcohol is not very domineering. Some tropical fruit tones as well. The body is light-medium. Creamy, lush feel. Alcohol spices things up, but doesn't add a "hot" dimension...which is good. Overall, this is a good beer all around. Different...but good.

D-A nice experiment that I was glad to experience...but all in all not one
of TH's top beers in my opinion.

10 years, 10 honeys, 10%
Yellow orange, mild haze that clears as the beer rests, aggressive carbonation and thick white froth that quickly settles to an almost nonexistent skim.
Initially noxious and offensively sweet and rotten, braggot like aroma turns me off but after about thirty seconds or so, the bouquet opens up. Then its all delicate flowers, sweet citrus, even sweeter honey, and damp grainy malts.
Rich flavor with a fullish yet easy-going body and ample to assertive carbonation. Tons of complex and varying honey flavor particularly when the beer hits room temp. Hop presence is really low. This is all about the malt and honey sugars but it isnt unbalanced in anyway. The sweetness is in the flavor more than the feel. There is absolutely nothing cloying about this beer. Edible flowers, prickly ash like citrus, and a touch of musty malt round this out.
Highly unique and very delicious. Paired well with beef tenderloin and baked squash on Halloween 07. Get this beer if you can.
