Pours 1/2 finger of beige head. Great retention and lace. Leaves some lace walls down the entire glass. Color is an amber bronze.

Aroma: Very fresh and hoppy. Floral with pine notes. A touch of grapefruit citrus. Some lemon citrus as well.

Taste: A slight bready malt flavor with some caramel here. Hop resin stickiness. Grapefruit. Floral and piney.

Mouthfeel: Bitter and smooth. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends sticky.

Overall, a really solid beer. Very drinkable. Nice hoppiness to it. Great stuff.

 

Having this at the s. Minneapolis location for the anniversary. Brought to the table looking, well red. Half inch off white head. You know the type, milk fat like that only a nitro or cask pour can produce.
Aroma is pretty much non existant. Unless i swirl the shit outta the glass but i cant because its full. I do later though and its all hops....yum.
Taste is so smooth malt, caramel and piney hops and resin.
But its medium hops at this point. Until the swallow Nd the lingering hops bitter out and increase with a drying wffect. Not often that you get a bwer where gop flavors peak well past the swallow.
Mouthfewl is smooth mellow and creamy.
Lace now leaves really xool lace down the glass. Looking like a nitro pour on steroids really. Its thick xlingy and amooth for the lace show. Mimicking a tree thats been cut down showing age rings.
Solid beer. Ontap it was allot hopier with a stronger hop and malt aroma. On cask its mellowed and ads depth to the brew.

Deep amber body with some wuby hues and huge sheets of white lacing.

Smells of caramel malt... very sweet smelling...

The taste holds some grapefruit/citrus hop notes, but the malt runs the show here. Sweet caramel malt with a touch of roast hiding amongst it all.

Full, syrupy body with low carbonation.

Overall, not one I would want to try on cask again! I would be happy to try it on tap though for the sake of comparison.

Enjoyed on-tap @ the Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery in Minneapolis, MN in a $9 Flight tasting. Tapped from the Clock Tower tap handle with a Seasonal Two on it and a medium olive background into a 10oz Short Stange Glass. Has 5.5% on the brew-menu.

Aroma- Great red ale aroma, amber tons and nice malts. Citrus hops are strong and has a good all around smell.

Appearance- Received with a 1 finger head that keeps. Has a dark amber (light brown?) colored body and has tremendous clarity. Could have been hazed and still been okay. Leaves this lacing afterwards in the form of rings.

Flavor- Has a light hop start flavor and then has an interesting but not my favorite malt taste... Tough to describe but just not as sweet or hop friendly for an Amber/Red Ale... Not much bitterness either on the finish.

Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Gritty and not very strong with hops or any type of malt on the finish.

Overall Impression- Wish this one was much richer and had more hops involved. Still enjoyed a ton but not my favorite from Town Hall so far. See what you think! Would recommend enjoying any of these so far!

On tap at Town Hall Tap. This beer arrives a clear ruby red color. The head is an inch and a half in height, and recedes slowly into nice lacing. The aroma is of grapefruit, passion fruit, and hints of pine resin. The mouthfeel is similar to the aroma, but with a nice sharp bitterness both upfront on the sip and in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, and a smooth texture. Overall, this is a good beer that I would drink again. It is more of a red IPA than a amber ale, and a really like that about it.

Pours a reddish color with a nice head that leaves lacing all over the sides of the glass. Smells of large Amounts of onion and some citrus hops; caramel malt is barely detectable under the huge hop aroma. The taste follows the nose. Huge amounts of hops blast the palate, onions, bitter pine, and some grapefruit. The caramel malt that is supposedly there is hardly detectable. Nice creamy feel to it. I would highly recommend a pint of this. This crosses into IPA territory as it is pretty much a full on hop assault. Delicious and recommended!
