Pours 1 finger of beige head. Good retention and good lace. Color is a clear copper.
Aroma: Piney hop resin. Floral and dank. Weedy. Very fresh.
Taste: Very hoppy. Same as the nose, but a touch of bready malts. I get the caramel but not the toffee or chocolate that was supposed to be a part of it.
Mouthfeel: Bitter and sticky. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends hop resiny/sticky.
Overall, this was an awesome beer. Very fresh ipa. Very drinkable. The malts were a unique part of this beer, but it worked out well.

Had this on 2011-11-17 at the Town Hall Tap during their 1-year anniversary celebration.
A - Clear, darkish brown with a 1-finger white head and copious lacing.
S - Molasses, medium roasted grain, nutty, hop floral.
T - Roasted grain, nutty and caramel, nice amount of hop bitterenss with some citrus fruit. The aftertaste is a nice mix of roasted grain, mild spice and citrus flesh and bitterness.
M - Medium body, light carbonation. Very creamy.
O - I quite enjoyed this ale.

Copper colored IPA with a dirty white head that piles high in the glass into a rocky foam, even though from a growler. Clean, super fresh hop in the nose--almost like a fresh hop ale it has so much fruit and pine it makes me think of summer. Strong hop bite that dominates a caramel and sweet malt base. Hop forward but the malt has enough of a spine to fight for itself. Chewy mouthfeel that leads to a lingering hop and malt presence between sips. In the last weeks, Anniversary 11 is the only draft I had every time I went in, and I'm reviewing from the second growler. For me--the highest compliment as an easily distracted drinker for anything new.

This one pours a caramelish brown with a really nice looking head on top of it. Smells of juicy, dank, earthy hops - there isn't much room for malts in the aroma. The taste is an explosion of hops, really fresh and in your face. A lot of earthiness with some musty dirt in the mix, some onion character, and a little spicy. There is a modicum of caramel malt underneath, but the hops destroy everything in this, which is good. I had a Surly Wet after this and it didn't taste hoppy at all to me - that's hop in your face the hops are in this.
