Got there at around 4:45pm on a Saturday in the middle of the summer. It was crowded when we arrived but no wait yet. Our party was 4 adults + 2 toddlers and we got seated immediately in the main dining area. Very casual, laid back vibe inside that fit the beach town surroundings. Our servers were friendly, despite clearly being very busy, but handled our food and drink orders promptly. Lots of "off-centered" offerings on-tap, but I decided to go with the Shelter Pale Ale, currently only available on draft in Delaware. It was fresh and tasty and made for a great accompaniment to the wings, pretzel bites, and fried pickles we shared at the table. The food was good but nothing mind-blowing. Overall, an enjoyable stop for some apps and drinks. I'd like to return sometime at night when they get live bands to play.

Went back in May. Had a phenomenal time! Service was excellent, the people were awesome, the food was great, and there were a good amount of beers to choose from, including plenty of experimental brews. Can't wait to go back!

Food is pretty good, beer selection is great.

They seem to always have a few taproom only things (stuff that isn't bottled normally)... but most of that has be had there... very little of the brewpub only stuff is available for growlering.

It can get very crowded, especially on the weekends, but the people were all nice.

Staff was very helpful with recommendations, and very friendly.

Nicely pairs food with beers. They always have a great selection of beers. Check out their secret stash for awesome vintage beers. They have a stand right out front with great swag.

Took the whole family here on a sunny, summer weekday for lunch. We arrived a few minutes before their noon opening and there was already a crowd of about 30 or 40 people waiting to get in. It was a surprising mix of young and old, singles and families, and I was relieved I wasn't the only one that had a couple kids in tow.

We were seated off to the side near the front window of the brewpub. The server arrived and she was very pleasant and helpful and did not seemed fazed at all by my two young children. I'm a 20+ year vet of the restaurant business and I know a lot of people are divided on dining with children. I personally try to avoid it at all costs, because I like to actually relax and enjoy my meal, as do those around me. However, we were on a family vacation and this was Dad's day.

My kids seemed happy with the choices on the kid's menu and my daughter was thrilled to upgrade to her own "special drink" (Dogfish Beach/Root Beer) just like Daddy. The kids were digging it which eased my anxiety and let me relax so I could enjoy some of the fine liquid offerings.

I'll start with the food. As someone who can be overly critical of menu offerings, I'll keep it as brief as possible. The food was good, but not great. The menu selections were interesting, and certainly elevated beyond your normal bar food offerings. I appreciated some of the creativity of their culinary team, like the Spent Grain Pretzels and Duck Poutine. Some of the other dishes fell flat, most notably, the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. The waffles substituting the bread were limp. The chicken, which had a decent breading was dry under it's crust. It seemed like it could have benefited from some serious brining. The dipping sauce was a Sriracha Maple Syrup, but it felt lacking in both the Sriracha and the Maple departments. I loved the idea but the execution was off. My recommendation would be to stick with the appetizer portion of their menu, and share some snacks with your table while you enjoy the wonderful selection of beers.

And now, the beers... I was so happy that I had arrived on this day. They had just tapped 120 Minute a few days before and the Brewpub Exclusives were ones that I had heard of in the Dogfish lore. Notably, they were serving Choc Lobster and Beer for Breakfast. They allow you to order four samples in each beer flight in any combination of beers that they have on tap. I started out with Choc Lobster and Beer for Breakfast, coupled with 75 Minute Cask and upon the server's recommendation, Palo Ahumado. Each beer was unique and delicious in it's own right. I won't go into detail on each one, but whether you love or hate the results, you have to admire Dogfish' ingenuity and spirit of experimentation. I followed it up with another flight, repeating the Palo Ahumado and Choc Lobster (they were that good) and paired them with Palo Santo Maron and some 120 for dessert.

Well done, Dogfish. They've managed to create a comfortable vibe for everyone with good service, decent food, and outstanding beverages. I hope to make it back there soon.

I went here after going on a tour at their Milton facility, so it was a bit of a Dogfish head day. Knowing already how much I love their beer, I figured it would be enjoyable to have a good meal from their brewpub. Honestly, I could just go on and on about how fantastic the food alone was. My girlfriend ordered something particularly amazing, which was their meatloaf sandwich that utilized their chicory stout for the gravy. It just so happened I ordered the same beer to go with my burger, and the combination with both meals was outstanding. I can say though, despite how much I love that brew, there wasn't much going on with beer menu. Some rarities, but nothing particularly chase that you would feel the NEED to come here. Still fantastic food, solid selection of year round favorites and minor rarities, and friendly unintrusive service. I honestly know I will go back for the food alone.

There is an incredible vibe in this place, what with the obviously good beer. The food was good, and one can try some of the beers that are served exclusive only in this brewpub. Highly recommended!

Visited for lunch after a sunny day stroll on the boardwalk. Our party of 8 was quickly seated (it was so crowded, I think we just lucked out) and service was great for a mobbed pub. I had a randalled Namaste; forgot the additions, but it was pleasant, the normal Namaste wit with a light fruit flavor, slightly spicy. It went well with my crab cakes which were great. The food was slightly upscale pub fare, but nicely prepared and presented. Everyone was happy with their food with the only complaint was that the falafel was a bit dry and uninteresting. The burgers were big and well received. Namaste was the big hit for most people, although a few had the PAM pale lager which got good reviews. Overall a great experience, food, beer and atmosphere, especially for a busy, crowded summer day. I'm on the opposite coast, but I'd come back here in a heartbeat. My only disappointment was that most of the beer on the menu was the same as bottled and available at home. I somehow missed the PAM on the menu, which would have been a new one for me. On the other hand, I totally enjoyed my randalled Namaste so all was well. We filled two growlers to take home.

Vibe is pretty standard for a brew pub, lots of cool DFH swag on the walls, wait staff is friendly, bartenders seemed pretty knowledgeable. Beer is pretty standard for DFH, most of the beers are year around offering, but they did have a few beers that aren't widely available/draft only. Food was good, ordered a pizza, was a little small, but well made. Prices on beer are great, would like to revisit during the fall or winter when there are less people.

Couldn't spend a vacation in Delaware without stopping here, and I'm very glad we did. The service was excellent. Pretty busy for a Wednesday night, but we only waited 15 minutes for a table, and our food was out within 15 minutes of ordering. Our server was attentive and accomodating. I had fish tacos and the wife had crab cakes--both above average. A minor annoyance that my first choice on the "rarities stash" beer list board was actually gone, but it wasn't a problem to find a suitable second choice. Will definitely make my way back here sooner or later.

Great food, great vibe, quality DFH brews, and reasonable prices. The selection is about all one could expect given DFH's popularity and variety of beers. The cask 75 minute IPA served at 55F was fantastic with a burger. A must visit.

Really? There is nothing special about getting the same beers here you can get everywhere else. Isn't the point to brew beers on site that you can't get anywhere else? On the visit, there was only one beer and it was a black ipa, hardly unique. If the goal is to serve food with dogfish beer, well I guess they did it. It is billed as a place to get unique dogfish brews, when there are none. For unique beer, visit the main brewery. Very disappointing here.

A great place for drinking dogfish head. Service is decent, food is o.k(nothing special) and the vibe is down to earth. You can get a lot of interesting DFH brews that are only available at the pub. Prices are amazing.

They need to bottle Blood Moon ASAP. For real. It's only my second beer with smoked flavor in it, but I guess I'm a huge fan of that style, because the two smoked beers I've had were exceptional (though this one's technically not a Rauchbier). The food was very good and they have more beer options and more vintage options here than at the brewery. It's also located in a neat town right near the beach. I'm very upset I forgot to try the 75 Minute Cask, I hear that it's a totally different and preferable beast compared with the bottle version, but I guess that's what happens after 120 Minute IPA and 2 flights, one of which was all 10%+ abv. beers. Oh well. I hope to come back some day and find my car in less than 45 minutes. How I wish the brewery and brewpub were closer...

Cheap food that is actually awesome pub fare made from spent grains! Pair that with experimental flights and you have a winning combo. I even got to meet Sam and have a drink on him!

Visit this place several times each year when hit the beach. Last visit on Sept 1, 2015 service was less then expected. Maybe it was the end of the summer season, but still no excuse. Our service seemed to fit the mold of "off centered" but I found the wait between the empty glass of my first beer to time when she made her way back to the table for offering another round. Just one example of the table service. The crew at the carry out/t-shirt area seemed pre-occupied as well. I have updated my service score from a 4.0 to a 3.25

Good thing was the food was still killer, quality and selection above par for this type of eatery. I'll be back to follow up on the service.

One of my favorite places on the planet. Great staff - from hostesses to managers and of course the bar staff. The exclusives are always interesting and unique, but the year-round selections ensure a good choice is always available. Food is good and has been getting better and better. Don't miss this place!

Been going here since early 1996, and it never fails to impress. Excellent vibe with a great look, feel and good good people. Music is always top notch. Very good ongoing selection of great DFH beers made special by the cask and one off beers that are always fun to try. Food is interesting and consistently excellent.
Business has grown, and the old pub feel is now a much busier restaurant like least on weekend nights and the summer crush. But on off hours and/or off season...the off centered clearly returns and its really a great personal beer experience you can share with the staff and others there to drink world class beer in a local pub setting. One of my favorites, and definitely one of the very best of the bigger craft beer company brew pubs.

It's a great local craft beer like pub, but also could be a great meet up with friends. You will need to get there early to get a seat. My husband and I stood around for a half an hour on a early November evening, hoping to get dinner, but still wasn't dissatisfied by the tap list instead. We decided to make the most of it, and grab a couple beers, walk out on the empty early winter deck and enjoy a Java cigar over our brews. The Bitch's Brew on tap is a must. We had previously had it in bottle several times, but it made it all the better to have it fresh. Also the only place to get Dogfish Head Vodka. Don't pass up on this. Slightly pricey for a 750ml, but well worth the quality. We made our 750ml Peanut Butter Vodka last for a whole year, as a treat!
A must!

DFH's flagship bar is a must stop for anyone in the Rehoboth area. I went there over the summer and had the Kvasir and Aprinaut on tap. They have a great selection of beers that are limited distro and even some that have been aged. They have a well-stocked stand connected to the bar where you can pick up some beer/t-shirts/etc to take home. The DFH brewery is only about a 30 minute drive from the bar so making a day out of the two of them is totally possible.

Always love heading down to DFH, save for the summer months. Gets supper crowded.

The place has looked almost the same for the last 6+ years that I've been going there, and I really like that about the place. Beach themed craft beer bar that has blown up everywhere but here.

Beer quality is top notch. Can't beat DFH on that front. They have a ton available now with the expanded tap list, and always have a few hidden gems somewhere laying around.

Service is always good to great. When it's busy, it's a little tough, but they do their best. It's always awesome off season when there are mostly locals hanging around.

Beer selection is awesome for a brew pub. I would love to see them have guest taps or more vintage stuff, but that's not going to happen here. DFH serves DFH beer, fresh and well made. Nothing wrong with that.

Food is always good, no complaints.

We head down to DFH from up north as often as we can. Wish they would open a spot in Wilmington or Newark, but I can't see that happening any time soon.

Love all the experimental beers that you will never get anywhere else. Most staff are friendly but surprisingly not all beer savvy! Still tastes are allowed to decide from a superb mix on tap. The one and only sad thing at this Mecca for beer lovers is the food, constantly disappointing and I go there nearly every other week. I know the beer is the draw but for the flagship of the Sam Calagione empire, shocking.

Ok so this is my favorite brewery hands down. First off, the atmosphere is really really great and friendly. Sam is known to eat there and talk to his fans whenever he gets a chance. It is a small place but its got enough room to have a big table with your friends. They really lack a smoking section, you have to stand out front to smoke.

All the beers are at their perfect respective temperatures. They offer bombers of cellared beer and they even offer aged beer on tap. They have recently starting distilling and I haven't had a chance to try it though. 5/5!!
