Our best seller! Subtle malty sweetness with notes of biscuits and honey. It finishes fairly dry but not bitter. Kölsch originated in Cologne, Germany as a regional favorite. As our flagship beer, we brew with domestic ingredients, and local Willamette hops for a uniquely Michigan flavor!

16 ounce draft pint glass.
Pour is clear gold yellow, light head, some lacing. Refreshing and clean on front end. Fruity with nice apple notes. Nice smooth finish. Highly refreshing and drinkable.

This bottle was well past being fresh. So, I usually rate but no review.
But this being my first rating of a brewer's offerings, I give a review.

I could tell this kolsch originally had character, prior to its deterioration.
Mostly malt, a mild use of hops for balance.

I read Round Barn's story and am amazed that they made wine and spirits before they started making craft beers 10 years.
All of which is a good reason to visit their taproom.

Golden color that's a bit darker than a "regular" kolsch, aromas are bready with some of the yeast esters common to the style.

Taste is rich bready flavors, just a bit of malt, and the kolsch yeast . Nice summer beer.

The Kolsch from round barn is decent. It poured a clear yellow with white head that did not leave much lace. The scent was faint with hints of bread and touch of citrus. The taste was evenly balanced with biscuit base and slight lemon twang. The Mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's sessionable but I have had better kolschs.
