A traditional oatmeal stout with an intense roast barley flavors and mildly hopped using Willamette and Nugget hops. The robust flavour is balanced with a smooth creamy finish. It is named for the razor's edge ridge that comes off the south flank of Mount Garibaldi's Atwell Peak.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark brown color and a thick texture. There was a small amount of foamy, tan-colored head that lasted an average amount of time. No real lacing here.
S: A kind of underwhelming aroma of malt, oatmeal, chocolate, and dark fruit.
T: Tasted of some light chocolate notes, a hint of toasted oats, dark fruit (plums), lots of roasted malt, a light hoppiness (more in the finish than anywhere else), and some vanilla. Like it is with many oatmeal stouts, this flavor is a little on the thin side. Not a bad taste, but could have used a little more oomph.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a surprisingly lively finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Definitely a beer with flaws, this brew has its bright points. Worth a try.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy. I love me a good oatmeal stout, and this one definitely hit the mark. It is dark, with a head that hangs around to remind you what's in your glass. The overall taste and flavour are rich and warm, with nice proportions of chocolate, coffee and roasty malt. It reminded me of puffed wheat (in very good way), and I thoroughly enjoyed this particular brew.

Served just under room temperature, this brew is far and away the best stout I've had in a long time. Such a rich roasted essence with strong flavoring from each of the ingredients.

Bottle I brought to share at Retsinis' tasting.
Pours an almost opaque super dark crimson-brown with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and toasted oat aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa, char, and toasted oat flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but there is a better mix in the aromas to me.
Serving type: bottle.
