The Howe Sound Brewing Utopia Series was developed by our brewers so they could have an opportunity to experiment with Kettle Sours, and we aren't biased but we think the result has been pretty delicious so far, with some of the best sours in BC!

Cloudy straw-gold color. The head quickly vanished, leaving only a small patch. No lacing. Small flow of rising bubbles visible at the edge of the glass.
Light sour smell of a fruit and funk blend. Swirling the glass kicked up a stronger funk and a bit of a mineral scent.
Light tart with a fruity flavor that is a mix of pineapple and something that is a bit more of an exotic tropical fruit. Slight bitters kick in towards the end. The aftertaste is of light bitter fruit. The flavor profile is very light, almost as if this was mixed with soda water.
Turned into a fine but lightweight foam for the first few swallows. Much of the carbonation was gone by the end of the glass. Somewhat astringent, like a young wine with a high tannin content. Very slightly oily feel.
This is a very pleasant light beer. Very refreshing. The flavor is much lighter than the scent. The overall impression is of a radler where all the flavor comes from the beer side of the mix. Nice experiment with a saison.
