Pours a hazy gold with a thick, creamy white head.
Aroma is overripe bananas, clove, nutmeg, raisin, and something doughy.
Wow. That is nice. Doughy banana bread with clove and nutmeg. Initial hints of sweetness are quickly taken away by a dry finish and present, but not unpleasant at all alcohol. Raisins and herbal hop character in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is chewy and full bodied, but not in a way that comes across as thick or impairs the drink-ability. Carbonation is high. Alcohol is impossible to miss. I've had proper Belgian Tripels that hide the alcohol much better, but this is still very, very nice.
Overall, I'm a big fan of what I've got in my glass here. I'm sure there is some room for improvement somewhere, but it is definitely not necessary.
