Appearance. Pours a hazy straw-gold with 1.5 fingers of frothy white head that fades fairly fast. Looks about right for the style.

Smell. Sweet wheat and a very light lactic sourness, slight belgian yeast spicyness.

Taste. Sweet wheat, some spicy yeast funk, and a very, VERY light sourness.

Mouthfeel. Light+ body, medium+ fairly lively carbonation.

Overall. As much as I like the brewery, this is not a very good representation of the style. Not nearly sour enough is the big complaint. Mouthfeel is pretty close aside from being a little less lively in carbonation than the style. It's okay as a light session beer I guess, just not very much like the style should be.

Poured from a 1L bottle. Pours a a bright yellow with a smallish white head. Though the nose offers tart notes of vinegar, cider and lemon, there really isn't much sourness to it at all. The taste is dry and refreshing, with generic grainy malt notes, if not a bit unremarkable. The big carbonation and low alcohol, would at least make this a good summer session beer, but I don't think this really does the Berliner weisse style justice.

Nice light wiess from Howe Sound. Cloudy golden colour with a fluffy, snowy white head. Bready malts, crackers and light citrus in the nose. Crisp, light hop flavour imparts a mild grassiness, lemon zest and a faint hint of bananas. The malts deliver a fresh, warm bread flavour and a bit of mild bran flavour. It could stand to be a bit more tart, a bit more bitter, but really nice.

This beer is nice, light fresh and quite enjoyable. This would be great once summer peaks.

Hazy, golden straw with a white head, the stick lace is surprising, given its weight.

There's a very light lactic sourness in the aroma and flavour. You really don't want the woodruff with this one, it has an easy-drinking/balanced acidty on it's own. There's some wheaty biscuit in the flavour with a hint of steelie spicing.

I really like it, though purists may want some more tartness.

Hopefully I'll see some of this in the summer, it'll be great in the Okanagan heat!
