I had this on tap at Founder’s back when it was out. Pours an orange, mango color with a slight orange head. Has a sweet mango flavor that I enjoyed, though also some undertones of scotch. I’m surprised this is an IPA, as it doesn’t have the hops I have come to expect from the style.

Had multiple times at the taproom in a snifter.
A-Nice golden body that has little no head that dissipates into a nice white slick on top.
S-Very intense tropical fruit notes that are mixed with a slight oakiness. You don't really pick up much of an alcohol/bourbon burn through inhaling. Very muted hop profile that takes a backseat to the mango.
T-Very balanced between Mango and a complimented barrel character. The mango is sweat but not too over powering. The same goes for the barrel character that reveals only a slight alcoholic burn on the way down.
M-Light bodied carbonation allows this to be a very creamy drink.
O-In my opinion, one of the more solid offerings from Founders in 2013.

I would guess this counts as an IPA. It's a standard version of the Main Guy Mango, but barrel-aged for a year. I had it this past weekend at Founder's in GR.
The appearance was a cloudy, yet golden, orange.
It smelled like a watered-down 7 & 7, but with a potent mango fruity-ness to it.
Taste was that of a mango left in the sun too long, not bad, but not in its prime. It was a sweet, sticky taste that stuck with you even after the boozy kick came at the end, where the barrel-aged taste of alcohol came to bite you.
Overall, it wasn't a terrible pour, but it wouldn't be something I drank a full pint of.
