Had at Pony Bar during Founders Night.
8oz. pour from cask
Not a lot of carbonation coming from a cask, but allows the flavors to be showcased and not overwhelmed by foam. Dark mahogany color with thin tan head that hangs around, no lacing solids legs. Solid espresso in the nose with hints if raisin and chocolate malts. Bitter raisins lead in the first taste along with roast coffee bean and touch of cinnamon at the end. Mouth is medium with clean finish and just a bit of tang. Overall this is some interesting choice in on-off for the porter. Could raisins work in beer? Would porter be the best choice to use it in? Given the voice I would take the original over this but nice effort.
