1st review on BA. Had this at the Founders brewery in Grand Rapids back in 2014. Overall disappointing experience, but I guess when you're a bunch of Tigers fans (worst team in MLB 2019, even worse than Baltimore!) getting stomped 10-0 by the A's with an A's fan in the bar, you're gonna have a bad time. I guess these hops were grown in Empire, Michigan.
Pours a orange copper color. 1/3" off white head. Aroma wasn't really hoppy. Thought it was a little strange, even wondered if they intentionally gave a different beer to me (they're notorious for being full of themselves here like Toronado, but with shittier beer selection).
Taste also seemed to be lacking much hoppiness. What is this, a mild ale? Have really nothing to say positive about the hopping here, just came across like a faulty low carb beer with excessive amounts of crystal malt. GTFO here, this sucks like the Tigers. I like some Founders beers to say the least, but this beer and the taproom experience left me thinking they both suck.
