On cask at The Old Toad for their cask festival.
Pours a dark muddy brown, with some clear tinges, with no head or lacing.
Smells like pistachios, caramel, and vanilla.
The taste is similar. The addition of pistachios has hidden some of the other usual complexities of Dirty Bastard, but damn, it tastes good anyway. Tons of fresh pistachio flavor. There is some additional caramel and vanilla.
Medium bodied, nice cask style mouthfeel. This one is really, really drinkable.
A nice variation on Dirty Bastard, and one of the highlights of the fest.
