Enjoyed in the company of Mike and Tim at the brewery.
Slightly hazy golden, forming a small white head with excellent retention and sparse lacing. Aroma is hardly there...my first beer of the afternoon and no smoke in the bar and I basically can't smell anything here. Not that it's bad, but just not there. Carbonation is moderate. Mouthfeel is clean with a very light body, very different from expected for the style. Taste is decent enough, but hardly a tripple....little bit of light yellow bananas, plantains and cloves, cereal grain, with an inappropriate degree of floral hop flavor and bitterness. Very dry finish. Closer to a Abbey Golden than a tripple for sure...
Missed the mark on this one. It's actually a decent beer but way off style.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
