On tap at the brewery. Very light and clear yellow. Smells of some floral and spicy hops. A bit of cracker malt. Tastes of cracker malt. Floral and spicy hop finish. Exactly as it smells, really. Light body. Drinkable, flavorful, and a departure from the standard pale ale profile.

Very nice light ale sampled on tap at Founders. Nice clear golden color with a little head but nice sheets of lingering lacing. Smells of citrus and floral hops, tastes of nice citrus zest - lemon, orange, grapefruit. Also floral hops, biscuit, grain and a nice malt backbone. Great amount of bitterness at the end and smooth mild mouthfeel. Good amount of carbonation. Just the right balance and very sessionable.

Poured from bottle to nonic pint glass. Hazy straw colored ale with finger of pure white foam. Decent streams of carbonation rise continuously. Aroma of cracker, lemon, floral, and grass. Nice bit of cracker malt taste upfront followed by a floral /grassy/peppery wave that's quickly pushed out by a bitter lemon citrus zest/pith flavor. The finish makes the ale slightly imbalanced for my taste. If only it had stopped at the Saaz-like middle flavors.

A - Soft golden body, slightly hazy, with short white head, minor lacing, long lasting cast over the top.

S - Lemon, pine, resin, a bit of warmth.

T - Follows the nose, more lemon and pine, a hint of dank resin, and a mildly bitter close.

M - Brisk and clean.

O - The hop nose and flavors are somewhat flat, but the beer underlying does its best to make them pop. An interesting experiment, but not one I'd return to on a regular basis.

Poured into a tulip, crystal straw like with fluffy head that turns to a skim of bubbly mash that has a very hoppy body.

Smell is weak yet can pick up some hoppiness and malt.

Taste is like watered down club soda with lemon but then I let it sit and taste improves. Hoppiness starts to shine, mouthfeel is filled with bitterness. Probably not going to get it again as taste doesn't have strong enough character. It's my least favorite Founders beer and nowhere close to SN Pale Ale. But the bitterness from the hops towards the end was quite enjoyable. This just wasn't balanced enough but the hops bitterness was definitely good.
