Fitting name, due to the brassy/coppery color of this brew. White head leaves a film. Flavors start out malty with just the barest hint of sweetness opening into assertive cereal and bready malt flavor. Hops come on assertively but close to balanced with a spicy combo of grassy and herbal tones. Typical APA body. Just over a session at 6%, this is a pretty good APA, but on this crowded market, it doesn't stand out.

A rather enjoyable offering from Founders. Presented a bronzed color with a medium level of carbonation. Aromas were very malty, with a touch of citrus hops. Taste was good; flavors of grapefruit, malt, floral hops and grass. Mouthfeel was nominal, nothing special, but not boring either. Good drinkability. I'd like to have this again.

I think they used the hops leftover from the Harvest Ale for this one. It's really similar to the Harvest in certain respects but I didn't like it as much. The maltyness is a bit more dominant here with less sweetness. Hops are more spicy, especially in the finish. A bit of a citric quality in there but its more of a bitter hoppiness. The Founder's yeast is quite prevalent and gives this beer that Founders character. Overall its decent, solid, but nothing too exciteable.
