Pourd a dark copper color but had very little head. Not sure if this was a problem with the keg or if they hadn't regulated the CO2 yet. This was the first week it was available here and this place doesn't serve cask conditioned ales.

Rich malt aroma with just a hint of hops. Flavor the same. Lack of carbonation left something to be desired in the mouthfeel, but the flavor was excellent. Allowing it to warm up enhanced it all the more.

Will have to try this again to see if the bubbles are there next time.

Another tap room special here...Amber has been available for a few weeks now, and I finally got around to having one.

The pour on this is textbook for the style, the colour is spot on, a nice head is sitting on top of it. The smell, difficult to pull much out of it, some slight malty notes, but for some reason it is generally difficult to get much of a nose in the brewery, so I'll just mark this average.

The flavour on this is quite smooth. A malty, caramel base dominated the flavour, but there were also light grapefruit notes present. This is nothing that is going to redefine what an amber should be, but it is a solid representative of the style.

Mouthfeel and drinkability, both, again, a slight notch above average. I had no problems drinking the pint.

The bottom line: pretty much what one would expect from a standard amber beer, and a nice alternative option down at the tap room.
