12 LF. OZ. bottle
Served in an IPA glass
This beer pours a brilliant amber color with golden highlights. It is topped with several inches of beige head that leaves spotty lacing.
It has a sweet smell followed by a little medicinal aroma. Then I get traditional west coast aromas of citrus and pine.
The taste closely follows the smell. It is sweet up front. There is a little medicinal flavor bridging the gap to the citrus. Pine finishes this one up. It has mild bitterness. It is not over the top bitter.
Medium bodied with an incredibly smooth mouthfeel
I wasn't particularly impress with this beer in my sample flight. A clean palate made a big difference. This is a nice, clean, traditional IPA.

Fantastic DIPA! Served on tap at the Detroit pub. Light amber in color with a film of foam on top. Biscuit aroma with tropical and pine notes. Sweet caramel biscuit flavors with papaya, pineapple and a slightly bitter pine finish.

Great-tasting imperial IPA! Tried this one on tap at Founders. Nice golden color with just a little head that slowly dissipated and some spotty lingering lacing. Smells nicely of floral and citrus fruity hops. Tastes similarly, along with caramel, grain, biscuit and a great malt backbone. Just the perfect amount of bitterness from the hops. Nice smooth mild mouthfeel and good carbonation throughout. An excellent example of this style of beer and the higher ABV was well-hidden.
