A rare treat, and my first Braggot, on tap at Founders. Note that this is different from the "Summer Braggot" from years past as the alcohol content has nearly doubled.
Lazy orangeish pour with not a lot of head on top. Sweetly malty aroma.
The taste is heavily over-malted, I don't even know if there are any hops here at all. The middle to finish is very sweet with heavy honey notes. The taste lingers for quite a while after the swallow as well. Sweet, malty heaven.
The mouth is very sticky, a good coating effect. Drinkability, really, really good. The alcohol is also well-hidden.
Bottom line: No idea how long this stuff will be available, but get a snifter of it if you have the opportunity.
