Another excellent new beer sampled on tap at Founders. Pours a nice dark brown, almost black color with some nice mild white head and some spotty lingering lacing. Smells mainly of medium roast coffee and dark chocolate with just a hint of spice and vanilla. Taste follows the nose, along with malt, caramel, cinnamon and some hazelnut. Very smooth, luscious, moderately creamy, coats the palate and great mouthfeel but isn’t overly heavy or rich. Good amount of carbonation. An excellent beer from one of my favorite breweries.
