Quite a nice, crisp, refreshing new ale sampled on tap at Founders. Pours a clear golden color with a small amount of nice white head and spotty lingering lacing. Smells of lemon citrus, fruity hops, malt, caramel and vanilla. Tastes similarly, along with some acidity that isn’t sour at all. The sweetness of the lemon concentrate is well balanced with the mild hoppiness and isn’t cloying at all. Smooth thin mild mouthfeel, good carbonation. Very easy to drink and high ABV is deceivingly well-hidden. It was, however, much harder for me to detect the oak and bourbon notes.
