Excellent new pale ale sampled on tap at Founders. Looks great, clear golden color with some mild white foamy head and abundant sheets of lingering lacing that lasted throughout the entire beer. Smells of some more faint fruit and herbal hops, malt, and then a hint of pepper. Just very faint, though. But the taste was very surprising and different - in a good way! Yes, there was the sweeter tropical fruity hops - mango, papaya, orange, pineapple - as well as the malt, caramel, vanilla and some faint notes of herbal hops. But the pepper feel and aftertaste was just incredible - well-balanced, pleasant, new, surprising. So well done. Smooth, mild, slightly creamy mouthfeel and good carbonation. I really enjoyed this beer and would buy it in the stores if I could.
