A very tasty new double IPA tried on tap at Founders. Pours a slightly darker golden color with minimal white head and no lingering lacing. Smells nice, fruity and tropical hops with a little floral hops, malt and caramel. Tastes of lots of tropical hops - pineapple, mango, papaya, orange and lemon. Also some malt, vanilla, floral hops, caramel and some faint grapefruit. Just a little warming alcohol and the ABV is well-hidden. Great balance between the mild hoppy bitterness and sweeter malt backbone. Smooth thin mouthfeel, good carbonation. Enjoyable to drink and deceivingly light since that higher ABV will creep up on you!
