Brief Review:
O: Not an overly complex beer, but throwing Solid Gold into a gin barrel is kind of nice. Makes it light, airy, and with a nice cocktail twist. The barrel mutes the sometimes off-flavor of the adjuncts. Would maybe like to see an Imperial Solid Gold aged in some kind of barrel. The low ABV here is really holding it back.
Recommendation: A nice, unique twist on an old favorite, try it if you can find it.
