I thought that the original 4 Giants was a great throwback IPA. This variation, by contrast, seems to be an attempt to cash in on the "haze craze."
The nose is dank and grainy. I'm not getting much fruit. The flavor profile is earthy and floral with a touch of orange citrus. The finish has a modest bitterness.

From a can produced 3/27/23. Cloudy orange with a thin layer of white head. Smells of orange and a light floral bitterness. Medium body. Orange and grapefruit flavor with a lingering floral bitterness. Hides the ABV well.

From a 567 ml can dated 10/26/22. Sampled May 17, 2023.
It pours medium amber-orange under a large white head with a hazy, murky appearance.
An array of sweet and happy aromas. I note bread, cereal grain, pine, grapefruit and dank sensations with no alcohol.
Medium to full mouthfeel
This really begins sweet and bready making it somewhat unique to the style with those pine and dank hops lingering moderately at the end.

4 Giants And The Haze Of Destiny brewed by Founders Brewing Company, with an ABV of 8.40% This New England IPA pours out of tall aluminum can into a pint beer glass. The color is a nice hazy amber color with a nice white head. There is also a nice amount of lacing to this brew , it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich with sweetness mixed with hoppy bitterness. So far 4 Giants And The Haze Of Destiny is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is Bold with flavors. Lots of nice hops bitterness at first then milds out with earthy grains an malts. The sweetness really adds to this brew in a good way. The body is a nice medium heavy but not to heavy. 4 Giants And The Haze Of Destiny has a super nice balance to it, there is nothing overpowering about this New England Style IPA. The mouth feel is Bold, Hoppy, Sweet, Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. It is really hard to pick up on the 8.40% ABV in this brew, it is just that smooth. Overall I am going to give this New England Style IPA a solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again given the opportunity too. Founders Brewing Company did a super nice job with this style of brew.

Canned almost 4 months ago. Pours a mostly hazy golden orange color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is decent. Lacing is good. Tropical aroma with some dank undertones. Tropical malty taste with some earthiness. Orange with a mango finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
