On-tap poured into a nonic pint.
A- The beer was presented with a 1/2-finger head. The body was a deep brown with dark red/garntet edges. Really great sticky rings were left behind on the glass.
S- Lots of caramel and brown sugar mixed with a nutty characteristic. Nice aroma, though a little muted.
T- More of the nuts and caramel/brown sugar. Came off as a candied "beer nut" sort of flavor. On the sweet side, but pleasantly so.
M- Moderate carbonation. Very much a medium bodied beer.
O- Very solid interpretation of the style. Not a bunch of "bells and whistles," but something I'd drink again, all the same. Could see myself putting back more than a couple in a sitting.
