A - Pours a deep copper with one finger of off-white head. Head has great retention and leaves a lot of lacing.
S - Huge amount of cloves in the nose, along with some other spices and faint sweet malts.
T - Caramel malts that gives way to the massive spice presence. A bit too much spice for me , lending some bitterness and dryness. A bit earthy as well.
M - Medium mouthfeel that starts with sticky sweetness and turns dry and bitter on the finish.
O - The over spiced character is a bit of a turn, but otherwise this a pretty good winter warmer.

On tap at Founders. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a fairly-dark amber with a thin white head and good lacing. The nose carries some wintry spices and a bit of malt sweetness. Flavor is similar. Spices aren't terribly heavy. Light-medium body with good carbonation and a dry and spicy finish. Pretty good, but not Founders caliber.
