Appearance - On tap at the Grand Rapids facility, the beer was copper and color with visible carbonation
Smell - the nose had some citrus notes as well as the bite of the barrel.
Taste - The big bold imperial IPA was still very evident. Notes of citrus and malt were evident. This was never an IPA for the weak. The barrel shined, but did not overwhelm the base bar. It was very drinkable.
Mouthfeel- The body covered the tongue nicely, lingering to allow the full effect.
Overall - I thought I was over barrel aged IPAs. Apparently I am not. This is very accessible.
