Spoke in iambic pentameter with this one on 3/26/2007. 16-oz. pint in a shaker glass poured in the bowels of Dunster Street.
This golden beer marries artisinal English and French brewing traditions. Brewed with 100% organic malt, Williams Ale is fermented very warm to develop sweet fruit yeast notes that are balanced by the slightly spicy tones of the noble hops. Robust, flavorful, and well balanced, this ale is truly unique, according to the write-up. Also stated OG: 15.0, BUs: 35 ABV: 6.7%.
Very loose pillow of starting floculence, about ¼-inch, and dies with a great lace down to an even sheet. Light, golden hue has some haze sketching about in it, but it is clear enough to see a great deal of action going on in there, very enticing on the eye. Some lemony esters play on the nose, with a touch of rose hip and a sweet bubblegum snappiness. Summer sweet core of candy sugar invades the tongue, with some sugar water and a touch of water melon coating the palette, followed by just that hint of hop bite as mentioned on the menu.
Not sure exactly what the style is here, but it doesnt matter since it exudes so much quality. Could drink it til the cows came home.
