Hazy and amber, this one was topped by a fine, beige cap. The head fell quickly to a ring, but lingered after that. Aromas were of rich grain, lemony citrus, and spicy cloves. Medium bitterness with a smooth malt flavour, a bit crackery. Notes of clove, citrus zest, grain and a hint of banana mingled throughout. It finished with some grassiness and spice. Medium body and carbonation with slightly aggressive bubbles. Solid overall and something I would have again. I really like it when brewpubs go after some of these farmhouse styles. Even if they're not 100% spot-on for the style, they're always interesting.
