I was very confused when I tried this brew, as it looks like it says unfiltered, has the color can of what I think looks like wheat beer and says produced in Lithuania. The I crack it, smell it, pour it (frothy wheat like lacing), the taste it. I got butter, banana and cloves with no Saaz bitterness— I could swear I was drinking a Hefeweizen. Regardless of this actually being a pale lager, and completely confusing my senses, it was quite tasty, beyond what I’m used to in a Euro Style lager.

50cl can, 5m bb.
Clear golden colour, nice enough foam. Standard issue looks for the style.
Aroma is grain with a dollop of honey and butter on top.
Taste has a nice balance of diacetyl with not so strong bitterness and more grainy pilsner body. Easy to drink. The diacetyl thatsome people have complained about is par for the local style, get over it. Classic Czechs are chock full of it, anyway. In that vein, this resembles Budvar in that genre. Dry, less hops aroma yet plenty of butter and honey.
But not really close in terms of overall quality. The yeast and the raw ingredients are not at the same level, maybe process is simpler. Yet, a nice example of a pilsner.
